Priding ourselves in the quality of the food and service that we provide
The Mill Race Tea Shop and Yore Mill Craft Shop at Aysgarth Falls in North Yokshire are a must stop experience for any visitor to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Approximately half way between Hawes and Leyburn the Mill Race is an ideal watering hole following a relatively easy walk around Aysgarth Falls made famous in the Classic 1990's film Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves.
Yore Mill was originally built in 1784 by the Birkbeck Family but was rebuilt in 1852 after the mill was destroyed by fire. In its life time it has been a cotton, woolen and corn mill.
We pride ourselves on the quality of both the food and service that we provide. Whether you are looking for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea the Mill Race Teashop is a must.
The Mill Race Teashop is housed in the part of the mill overlooking the river at Aysgarth Falls, Martin and Sue Sampson took over the teashop in August of 2005.
Before buying the teashop they had both worked in the hotel business, Martin as a hotel manager in Cumbria and Sue as a chef working in Paris, Dublin and Chicago as well as in this country.
